Design Notes:
The Urban Ninja was developed to solve the problem of urban protection. Since it is problematic to wear armor in most urban situations, we focused on maximum concealability and protecting against most instant-kill attacks to the heart, lungs, and spinal cord. The minimalist design reduces weight and visibility, while improving maneuverability and comfort.
It was also important to develop an armor that could stop the heaviest of attacks while also being comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
Armored Material Options:
Composite 1 Armor:
Composite 1 Armor is made from a thin metalic-polymer composite material, that is capable of protecting against most pistol and rifles, and can withstand multiple hits while retaining most of its protective capability. Composite 1 Armor is not designed to stop high velocity hunting rounds, but has proven effective against lower velocity hunting rounds, including the massive 30.06. Composite 1 Armor is extremely rigid and greatly reduces the effect of impact trauma by spreading impact energy across the armored surface, and a Kevlar wrapping helps protect against bullet fragmentation.
Composite 3 Armor:
Composite 3 Armor is made from an advanced metalic-polymer composite material, that is capable of protecting against most pistol and rifles, and can withstand a great many hits while retaining most of its protective capability, even after sustaining substantial damage. Composite 3 Armor is specifically designed to stop multiple hits from high velocity hunting rounds, including the 30.06, while also being thinner and lighter than Composite 2 Armor. Composite 3 Armor has a thicker Kevlar wrapping which offers improved protection against bullet fragmentation, and is extremely rigid which greatly reduces the effect of impact trauma by spreading impact energy across the armored surface.
